TriQuint Celebrates $150 Million Milestone in China
SHENZHEN, CHINA September 29, 2010 TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc (NASDAQ: TQNT), a leading RF front-end product manufacturer and foundry services provider, recently met with media in Shenzhen, China to celebrate 2010's $150 million revenue milestone*. During the conference, Mr. Ralph Quinsey, President and CEO of TriQuint, also presented the Chinese media with a strategy overview along with highlights of its 25 years of successful development.
Founded in 1985, TriQuint's advanced technologies, products and services have enabled its leadership in RF design; its components enable quicker design turns, higher performance, and lower part count and overall solution cost. After entering the greater China market in 2001, Mr. Quinsey stated TriQuint's China strategies are based on technology, support, education and relationship.
TriQuint has worked to establish a strong footprint in China by opening offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taipei and Zhongshan, and has nearly tripled its headcount over the last five years. Partnered with channel resellers, TriQuint has become a trusted RF provider for many tier-one Chinese telecommunication companies. TriQuint has also contributed to the educational development in China through select university programs. In 2009, TriQuint signed a business agreement with ZTE, and announced a partnership with Huawei in next generation optical transport systems. In addition to the business developments, TriQuint was awarded "Best Global Partner" from ZTE in each of the last three years; TriQuint was also named a "Most Popular Semiconductor Brand in China" by CEN in 2010.
