HILLSBORO, OR (USA) – May 7, 2009 TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TQNT), a leading RF product manufacturer and foundry services provider, announced it has signed a framework agreement with ZTE Corporation, a leading manufacturer in China for wireless communication system equipment.  The document states ZTE will procure TriQuint components, including but not limited to CDMA, GSM, and WCDMA ASICs, in the value of no less than $50 million U.S. dollars in the 2009 calendar year.

The agreement was formalized at the US-China Business Signing Ceremony:  Partnering for Sustainable Economic Growth, April 28, 2009, in Chicago, IL.  The event, aggregating $5.7 billion dollars of US-China business through 28 contracts, was organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery and Electronic Products.  Welcome remarks were given by the Honorable Mr. Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.  The signings were witnessed by Vice Minister Ma Xiuhong and Consul General Huang Ping.

Mr. Chen said that at a time of historic uncertainty, it is more important than ever to expedite trade and investment activities, in order to enhance our already productive partnerships and improve economic prosperity.
