TriQuint Wins 2009 System / Hardware Company of the Year

HILLSBORO, Oregon (USA) – May 11, 2009 – TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc (NASDAQ: TQNT), a leading RF front-end product manufacturer and foundry services provider, announced it received the 2009 System/Hardware “Company of  the Year” award from TechAmerica Oregon.  The award recognizes TriQuint’s accomplishments, leadership and commitment to the community and industry.  The award is part of the Oregon Technology Awards program which celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry.

Phillip J. Bond, the President of TechAmerica based in Washington, D.C., talked about the importance of recognizing accomplishments and technology advancement.  He said “A thriving high-tech community and the jobs it creates contribute to the overall health of our economy.  Oregon’s high-technology industry is dynamic, diverse and growing.”   Mr. Bond congratulated TriQuint and noted that “TriQuint is a key player in the region’s technology industry.  We all benefit from their focus on innovation to advance global communications."

Ralph Quinsey, President and CEO of TriQuint, accepted the company honors on behalf of TriQuint.  He said “I am so proud of all TriQuint employees. This award recognizes their hard work and dedication, and is the result of working together to deliver customers value.  We are honored to have been chosen for this award amongst so many respected and successful local companies.”  Mr. Quinsey was also formally recognized as TechAmerica Oregon’s 2009 Technology Executive of the Year , previously announced in February.
